But the material seems a little old fashion now and a little too basic for a serious plasma physicist. Nonlinear plasma theory is not included. Concise but strict derivation with profound explanation. The mathematics is not easy for beginners, but it will give a very good training even for professional researchers. * Introduction The Physics of Plasmas, T.J.M. Boyd and J.J. Sanderson, Cambriage Press (2003) The most comprehensive and one of the best introductory book available (also in China). * Plasma Physics --  Peter A.
