1. 学术报告：Lower-Upper Atmosphere Coupling --- From milliseconds to decades 时间：2016年6月6日上午10：00 地点：行政科研楼1514室 报告人：Yue Jia博士 单位：美国Hampton大学 报告内容：I will review different aspects of mechanisms that couple the lower atmosphere with the thermosphere-ionosphere based on my recent works. The first mechanism is the electromagnetic coupling, or Transient Luminescent Emissions. We observed gravity wave modulated ELVES in Colorado and simulated this phenomenon numerically. We call it "tiger elve". The second mechanism is dynamical coupling. Convectively generated gravity waves propagating from the troposphere to the ionosphere will be introduced. In addition, quasi-two-day waves can coupling the mesosphere with the thermosphere and ionosphere in several ways. At last, anthropogenic carbon dioxide can be diffused into the upper atmosphere. I will report the long term change of SABER CO2 and its implication. 欢迎各位参加。
