Barnes 单  位： NOAA, USA 摘要：Mauna Loa Observatory (MLO), one of the world's premier sites for measurements of our planet's atmosphere, has now been in operation for 56 years.  Part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Earth System Research Laboratory, MLO's half century of continuous records include the Keeling curve which documents the steady increase in atmospheric CO2 levels since 1958. MLO is part of the Global Monitoring Division (GMD) in Boulder, Colorado USA. The talk will focus on the operation, location, and history of MLO and its measurements, as well as the entire GMD network. The two main environmental issues the measurements relate to are the depletion of the ozone layer and the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
