1. 学术报告：Formosat-3/COSMIC observations of global ionospheric phenomena during the deep solar minimum period 时间：2016.7月29日上午10：00 地点：行政科研楼1414室 报告人：Dr.S.Tulasi Ram 摘要：Formosat-3/COSMIC GPS Radio Occultation Experiment (GoX) casted a quantum jump in the number of vertical Ne(h) profile observations and, with its global coverage, provided several new insights into the three dimensional structure of ionosphere.   In the present talk, I shall discuss some new aspects of global scale ionospheric phenomena such as Coherent ringing of geo-space environment to recurrent high speed solar wind streams, ionospheric upper transition height variations, interhemispheric asymmetry of EIA, Mid-latitude summer night time anomaly (MSNA) and ionospheric annual anomaly during the deep solar minimum period observed from Formosat-3/COSMIC Radio Occultation observations.  A self-contained NmF2 aided Abel retrieval method to improve the accuracy of GNSS-RO retrievals for upcoming RO missions will also be discussed.
